Rookie journalist, Alyssa, has been assigned to profile Ezra Lowe, a washed-up popstar whose viral hit, “Love Kiss,” holds the record for most disliked YouTube ever and is still widely regarded as one of the worst songs of all time. Ezra’s latest attempt at stardom comes in the form of a concept album being recorded in Raven Branch Cave, home to some of the oldest, most well-preserved cave paintings in the world. Through a series of interviews and recording sessions, Ezra clashes with audio engineers, bites her tongue at label reps, and tries desperately to escape the long shadow of her own reputation, all while Alyssa digs ever deeper for the story that will finally put her on the map. In the end, everyone must decide what they’re willing to sacrifice for their own success, whether it be new friends, long-held morals, or ancient relics of the past.
